After gaining a degree in Journalism and Creative Writing from the University of East London, I began my career as a digital content writer in 2016.

I later moved into marketing with a Kent-based construction company, where I worked for over six years. During this time, I gained a number of additional qualifications, including accredited diplomas in Google SEO and SEO Article Writing.

According to my favourite SEO guru Neil Patel, businesses get 11.4% more traffic in the first 0-6 six months, and 9.5% in 7-12 months. By year two, the average SEO traffic growth is 49.4%.

So, the key is to be patient. If you work to a good strategy, I have no doubt you'll see some great results.
SEO (search engine optimisation) is the process of optimising your website to rank higher in Google for specific keywords. For example, if you're a secondhand car dealer based in Maidstone, I would help your website to appear in Google when people search things like "secondhand car dealer in Maidstone". This is known as organic search.

Paid search is similar, but the difference is that you pay to appear in the Google results page. In essence, it's a form of online advertising where you pay every time someone clicks on your ad. Paid search also utilises keywords to drive relevant users to your site.
